Oh I forgot the big one, an internal heat that never seems to cool. I have not changed any of my meds. My treatment plan is exactly the same for about 5 months.

The internal heat could be early menopause. I started at 41.

What you described are the some of the same symptoms I get with my Fibro. The only one I don't have is the eye pain. Do you also have pain when touched sometimes, because that's another one. Fibro often runs hand in hand with RA.

You can have RA in your eye believe it or not, so make sure you mention these symptoms when you see the doctor. Good luck, marcia

Thanks everyone. It sounds like I'm going to have a very serious conversation with the rheumatologist on Thursday. I'm still trying to figure out what exactly is his role vs what should I be talking to my primary about and ho often they are communicating. That's yet another discussion to have in the 15 minutes I'm in the office.

Brain fog yes.. no sure where to attribute that to. Where are your tremors? Lower extremities?Visual disturbances yes.. but I am on Plaquenil and I have regular eye exams. Good luck with your Rheumatologist visit. keep us posted. Christine

Living - I have no idea what is causing your additional symptoms but a discussion with your rheumy is definitely due.

I agree with Tanyan sounds like my fibromyalgia especially the heat and migraine part and the FOG I am on plaquenil and have my eyes checked every 6 months but when the fibro flares my vision gets blurry

Suggestion take a list of questions to the rheumy so you don't forget and write down his answers to refer back to with the fog we sometimes forget what they said

I just returned home from the rheumatologist and remicade infusion. Before I go to sleep I just wanted to update you, my new friends and wonderful support and sounding board. My RA is not flared, according to the rheumatologist, but not yet under control. The inflammation is coming down slowly so today we upped the remicade dose. Thank God for insurance. I just took a look at wome of the previous insurance statements and this treatment is around 5000.00 per infusion. With insurance I pay $30.
The new symptoms are a mixed bag and many of you were right, new symptoms, new diagnosis-Fibromyalgia. Now the decision I have to make is should I attempt going to aqua therapy 3x's per week and continue to work full time which I can barely do now or do I need to take a leave for 8 weeks? I was a little concerned that the rheumatologist didn't want any neurological work up done so I am going to check with my primary as a "second" opinion. Let me know your thoughts.

Please do follow through by seeing a neurologist. I have had similar problems and just had a good workup with a neuro that showed a badly herniated neck disk, but also gave me some reassurance that I was not dealing with something like MS. It was worth it and I am kicking myself for not going sooner. My heat comes in flashes which doesn't make sense because I've had a hysterectomy and take a steady dose of hormones. I also get a tremor in my right lower arm and hand.

I have the internal heat problem and I've already gone through menopause. My poor husband wears a jacket in the house some days!

I have brain fog, but I also have Lupus along with my RA.

My doctor always asks me questions about my eyes and vision when I see her every 3 months. So I'm assuming there could be issues.
