Rheumatoid arthritis is a chronic, inflammatory, multisystem, autoimmune disorder. It is a disabling and painful condition which can lead to substantial loss of mobility due to pain and joint destruction. The disease is also systemic in that it often also affects many extra-articular tissues throughout the body including the skin, blood vessels, heart, lungs, and...
As for me. the fatigue is like pulling a cover over me. Fine one minute and the next, my head is laying in my plate. MamaBluedogs2 just grabs my beard and lifts my face up high enough to slide the plate out and then leaves at the table. I think she is sending me a message, but I'm not to good at reading sign.
Can sleep 5 to 6 hours and get up refreshed and in 30 minutes WHAM-OOO !!!
Doctor told MBDs2 it was a male trait. I'm looking for a new doctor
Be well and rest when your body says to or it will let you down (zzzzzzzzzz)
Peace

I find that fatigue hits hard for days following anytime I do "too much" - and I put that in quotes because "too much" for me would probably be just a couple of errands for someone without RA -- I know you get exactly what I mean.
It sounds to me like your body may be rebelling from doing too much the week before? I don't know but that's been my own experience. Just rest and pamper yourself as much as possible and give your body time to recover.
Best wishes and hugs for a good/much better week....
ps... i added a few newer pics of Sly... the one on my avatar was the first day that I brought him home from the shelter... he is a joy!
DS won't let me add more pics, I'm so ticked. Every time I try to add one, it says I'm over maximum size allowed - but they aren't. Whine, whine....lol
Rest up and have a better week. : )
since I wasn't having this problem before I think it is the MTX, however I find if I take a Tylenol or aleve I sleep better, I know pain was making me restless before but I am not in near as much pain now and I was hoping that once the pain was gone I would get more sleep but nooooooooooooo now I am more fatigued pppffttt :P
so once I find a new doc I will talk to them about it
Before my diagnosis I thought I was loosing my mind.
I felt like a "drunk' feeling & swear there were times I thought I'd drop on the spot. Not the "normal" exhaustion people feel from lack of sleep.
Still will hit me if I'm off my shot for any length of time.
It's the one thing the doctor never asks about. I have no clue about others but I think that's odd since its such a common problem.
Have insomnia at this time & that does not help.
Sounds like you did stay busy but you know your body & limitations best. If it continues I'd wonder about the medication. At least as far as relief for that constant exhaustion.
Hope it does get better. Can be tough to deal with. Perhaps your body is recovering if your not used to extra activities. That's a thought.
Good luck & god bless, Sammy
I have the fatigue everyday - some days worse than others. I've gotten used to it, and can feel it coming on. Then I have 2-3 minutes to get in my recliner or on the couch and I am out. Most days is happens once and after being out for 45 minutes to 1 hour and I can get up. Some days it is 3-4 times a day. My wife is pretty good at spotting it coming on - will be sitting on the porch and she will tell me I had better go lay down.
I sleep a good 7-8 hours at night. I am not active at all since I can't do much so it's not from over activity.
Good luck with it but I find I just go with the flow.
Hugs
