Steroids and sweating?

I'm currently on about 6mg of medrol a day. Noticed in the last week that I get extremely flushed then sweat profusely. I have never sweat this much in my life. This morning I'm 3 pounds down, which I love but that is a lot of water. Also, I get this feeling of "unwell" at least once during the day. It passes but it's still uncomfortable. Any one else have symptoms like this?

Yep. Always made me hot, cranky, and wakeful. So, in other words, I would wake up angry in a pool of sweat! Living in Texas only made it worse.

You might be correct 51, I've been slowly reducing the amount of steroids over the last 10 days. Don't like what they do to me. So I guess I'll deal with being a "sweaty Betty" until they are flushed out of my system. Thanks!!

Yes yes yes. Horrible.
I'm drenched even when everyone else is chilled.
Frustrating! Can't have it all.
Outside in the heat is even worse. Two minutes & I'm ready to change clothes.
Not to mention the weight gain.
At least I can walk & use my hands with more ease.

You amuse me! Of course, living in Texas makes things hotter if you live where it's really humid and 100 all the time! My anger was fueled by prednisone! hahahaha

I'm sure the'dry' (ahem) heat is not a bother at all!

Aggie, I'll take 95 degrees with 8% humidity over 85 degrees with humidity to match any day, although neither one is much fun.

I am on Prednisone (tapering off) and I have been sick for the last 5 days. Stomach cramps, headache and all the associated "issues" from stomach problems. I increased pre and pro biotics and fiber to offset the issues but basically I am eating crackers, rice, fruit and green beans. Oh and toast. Anything else upsets my stomach terribly.
I called the Dr. and told her I'd rather have the pain than the stomach issues. I can deal with pain.
Good luck to you. I don't notice water retention though.

They make me sweat horribly and my face is beet red most of the time. I wish that I didn't need them. I've gained 50 pounds. I am very depressed over that and still have pain. *sigh*
