Hey all. I responded to a topic, and then I realized this might be a good separate topic so more people can see it.
I have had frequent canker sores since I was 4, some so bad they affected my entire mouth. As you can imagine, I have tried just about every home solution and commercial product out there. I also take MTX but haven't had sores associated with it.
My favorite is a product called Peroxyl by Colgate. Some places have a generic that works just as well - CVS springs to mind. I have sometimes gotten instant relief, with oh, 80% improvement overnight.

It is basically a pleasant hydrogen peroxide solution, with some soothing stuff. Some will balk at the cost and say you could make it home for a lot less money. I've used home made hydrogen peroxide solutions in the past, and it tastes awful, seems to attack metal fillings (I could be wrong), and does not work quickly.
