Just sitting around waiting for my youngest grandson to be dropped off, he's too sick to go to day care. Just dropped the oldest one off at kindergarten and I'm wondering how you all keep things "normal" when it comes to being a good and caring grandparent (or parent for that matter) when you aren't quite up to snuff. My latest flare is ebbing, but I am so darn tired I could go back to bed, if I were alone.

I take naps with my Granddaughter, I do very well on a three year olds schedule. It can be very hard if you hurt and there is a kid that needs to run around. My husband helps a lot, he takes her to the park and she gets worn out, then I read a story and we go to sleep.
If the child is sick, they might want to sleep more. Wash your hands a lot, it will help you not to catch what the kid has.

I too have a good guy husband who will lend a hand. My oldest grandson just got here so we cuddle and chat until we take him to kindergarten. That ks for your reply. Hope you have a great day. Trish
