I had my first appointment with the rheumatologist this afternoon. He looked at my labs, visited with me and asked a ton of questions. He then told me that he is totally on the fence. My labs (RF and CRP) are pointing to RA as well as my complaints of joint pain and fatigue but he is not so sure on exam. He says that I don't have the "red, angery joints" he usually sees in RA. He does see some swelling. He is doing another ESR (last one was normal at 15) as well as testing for Parvo Virus and anti-CCP. He says he should have the results by Monday and call me. He also declined to do any imaging because he is not sure what we are dealing with yet.

I guess I wait until Monday and see what the labs say. Maybe I'll be lucky and find out it is Parvo and it will eventually go away! I hate being in limbo with anything.

I do have one question for all of you. I DO NOT run fevers hardly at all. If I am running a fever it is because I am sick enough to be nearly hospitalized. I think the last fever I had was when I had viral meningitis. I wonder if that would transfer to redness and heat in my joints? Do any of you have pain without redness and heat?
