So this summer has been a really bad one. This afternoon I had to lay to rest my four legged fuzzy companion. Alvin Yoda. He was my monkey butt, my alvinator. He was my best friend. I got him when he was a wee kitten, 8 weeks old.

He picked me. I was looking at the litter of kittens and he stumbled over and rubbed up against me and i just knew at that moment he was meant to be mine. So I got him.

I was in middle school when i got him. Every day at 3pm he would be waiting by the door for me to walk in and he would look to be picked up and give me loves. If i was not in the door by 3pm he would have a hernia.

College comes, i move into a dorm and my mom has to call me weekly to talk to my cat or else he would become depressed. He loved when i came home for a weekend and would not want me to go back. He set up strike in my backpack so i couldn't leave again.

He was my buddy, he wouldn't let strangers near me if they were weird. I nearly lost him 3 years ago..but he managed to pull thru.

Today. Unfortunately. He could not pull through. He had managed to get out of the house and was hit by a car. He did not suffer. So that is the tendril of peace i hold onto.

I miss my lap warmer. My shoulder sitting buddy who would give hugs and talk to me.
