Rituxan and a weather flare

Hi,
Have been aching for days. Maybe the wet weather? Tooh 20ml of Prednason...feeling better....do I drop it tomorrow? Wean down. Don't want to stay on it. My dr did not call back....early weekend?
Any ideas?

I am on Rituxan as well and have periods of not feeling well. I will sometimes take Prednisone here and there and will do a decreasing dosage for about 3 days then stop or I may take a dose here and there which is not the best thing to do when things are not going well and pain meds are not getting on top of things. You should call the office because usually there is someone covering via the answering service.

OH.. do you get 2 infusions 2 weeks apart and then go for about 5 months?

Been on Enbrel, Orencia, Actemra and now Rituxan. Usually about every 6 months for infusions and there are times when the aching may last for several days but usually it happens when the Rituxan seems to be wearing off. Thats what the pain meds are for, when it becomes unbearable. The prednisone does help but being on a maintenance dose it helps the inflamation. Hope you feel better soon.

Hi Bobbi, I am in NY with the four seasons and sometimes it is difficult with the weather changing. I get the Rituxan exactly as you mentioned. So far so good. I am due for next dose on Feb 11. I have known folks on 80 mg persistently. 40 sounds okay as a bolus initially. Depends on your condition and amount of inflammation. Hope you are feeling better.
