What doe this mean?

Well, with other bloodwork, it means you have RA. That's a pretty high number, but it's not the only marker needed for RA. Did you get a Sed rate or an anti-ccp or C reactive Protein test too?

Just because the rheumatoid factor is high doesn't mean it's going to be worse, just that you have proteins in your blood that say your immune system is attacking healthy cells.

And, when starting treatment for RA, that number will decline as your body quits attacking itself.
