For the past five weeks, I have been battling ear infection, throat infection, and now bronchitis/lund infection. Haha. We complain about doctors not listening, and it's true! I kept telling them that something wasn't right and they would say, oh, it's seasonal allergies, take some Claratin....
Anyway, with the infections, I had to suspend my MTX and Plaquenil. Yesterday, I started hurting. Sigh. I hope to get a clean bill of health (and lung) this Friday. If I do, I can start taking my meds again.
Anyone else been down this route before? How long will it take for the drugs to once again be effective. Sigh. I'd forgotten what it's like to have hands and feet that hurt, and to walk like an old lady.

Helped within days. But I had been in a lot of pain and also had prednisone (5mg) with it.
Hang in there and hope you feel better too. They dont take me off mtx for the sort of thing you describe as they say it hangs around in the system for a while after you stop.
