I have had the first three loading doses of Remicade and I take MTX, and I have muscle spasms in my legs from the Remicade. It feels like something is crushing my leg when it happens. I am taking flexeril for it but I don't take it as often as I should because it sedates me so bad. I still have really horrible swelling in my feet, ankles, and lower legs. So far the only thing that has helped the swelling is prednisone. My rheumy is trying to get the right dose and frequency with the Remicade. I sure hope it kicks in soon. As far as joint pain, it seems to be about the same as it was before I started taking Remicade. The RA fatigue has lessened though..
I hope the pain you are experiencing will be better soon. Hugs, Frances

Thanks for the reply,
If I were you, I would call your RD and tell him/her exactly what is happening. Maybe that is the way it goes, but it just doesn't sound right to me. Of course, your RD is the expert. Would love to know what he says about this. I really think he/she needs to know. I'm sorry you are suffering. I certainly hope you can get some relief soon!
Blessings,
V
Thanks
So I think it's possible it's a one-time reaction, although of course you need to talk to your doctor. I know how discouraging it gets to be pulled off of meds because of not working/side effects/etc. and then have to start something else and wait for that to start working.
Hope you find something to help with the pain in the meantime...
thanks again
