Does remicade casue back, neck pain and some muscle pain. I have had the first infusion almost 2 weeks ago and scheulded to have another one in two days.

my lower back started hurting yesterday adn today it is terrible, I am not brone to low back pain, has anyone had this from teh remicade?

Seems like all I have done is trade a few side effects from the ebrel to a ton more with the remicade!
Any suggestions would be great

I know what you mean about side effects, im so sick of meds.
Im not sure on the remicade causing this, I've been on it quite awhile, and only this week am I suffering from low back pain, but mine is due to a bladder and intestinal infection. So, just make sure it isn't this going on. I've always had neck pain and spams.

It could be that you have fibro since this causes so much muscle pain

well who knows with me, after I got up this morning and went to school I eneded up coming home with a terrible bad headache, and then I got dizzy and light headed, i don't ever get this stuff and stomach problems, so not sure if you can hve side effects from remicade 2 weeks later, if it is the kidneys or the flu or what. i have an appt at 2:30 today to see a nurse practioner, I am suppoe to have my second iv tomororw but I don't think I will if i am feeling like this todayl
So frustrating !!

I have had muscle pain on Remicade after the first two infusions. It felt like something was crushing my legs. Rheumy had me go to Flexeril or Skelaxin for some relief (I don't know if it really helped at all); after about two weeks after 2d infusion the muscle pain went away and has not returned. Muscle pain can be a side effect of Remicade. Be sure to let your doctor know what you are experiencing. Good luck!

thanks for the reply, I have a call into my dr this am but so far have not called me back. i am trying ot figure if I shoudl go get hte seond one tomororw or wait. i have really bad dizziness but think it is from my neck, alhough I have never had that before,a nd bad leg cramping, I did haave the muscle probelms the first night after my first infusion but then it went away, seems werid all of this would start up 2 weeks after teh infusion, it helped me ra for about 9 days and now it is right back to where it was, very frustrating for sure!
