Rheumatoid Arthritis Support Group
Rheumatoid arthritis is a chronic, inflammatory, multisystem, autoimmune disorder. It is a disabling and painful condition which can lead to substantial loss of mobility due to pain and joint destruction. The disease is also systemic in that it often also affects many extra-articular tissues throughout the body including the skin, blood vessels, heart, lungs, and...
As for Celadrin I wanted to try it, but it contains Soybeans and Soybean oil which I have to avoid as these make me even more inflammed. Good idea though. Thanks for sharing, anyway.

I asked the manufacturers if they would be changing their product anytime soon, as they have gotten requests for no soybean. I was one of those requests!! :) She told me they were looking into it but it wouldn't be for some time. It's surprising to me that a company can go to so much trouble to make something anti-inflammatory and then have an ingredient that is inflammatory. Doesn't make sense.

Sarah
I know...! I want to thank you for adding your request. I should do the same and didn't think of even asking. I will do this.

I think I've developed some dietary issues with soy milk (seems to aggravate IBS). I sure like to see "hypo-allergenic" on products.
Sarah, my SIL tried Reishi mushrooms for quite a while, but never had any good effects she swore by. I don't know why she was trying them, but I think arthritis.
Interesting about the reishi mushrooms. I just bought some so I'll be trying them soon. Arthritis is pretty powerful though, maybe reishi wasn't enough...maybe she didn't take enough every day, or for long enough...hard to say.
According to the book, "The inflammation free diet plan", as well as some websites I have come across, soy is inflammatory. I do know for sure that it increases estrogen so maybe a lot of it depends on where you buy your soy, whether it's gmo or pesticide free, and how balanced your hormones are....(whether you can handle extra estrogen or not).
just guessing though...
hugs,
Sarah
For me, it inflames the RA and I have hypER issues from the thyroid when I have eaten or drank it. So unfortunately I have to avoid this and especially from boxed and processed foods. Soy is in just about everything.
