Raynaud's?

Since the weather has turned bitter cold I have been having trouble with my left foot. It started out with pain on the side then top of the foot. I then noticed that my toes would rotate between being freezing cold, numb, and burning pain. I can wear 3 pair of socks and they still feel like this. My toes also go purple sometimes. I went to my PCP and he scheduled me for a dopplar. I have had unexplained large bruises show up on my calf in the past so he wanted to check for clots. My immediate thought when I went to see him was Raynaud's but I had the dopplar done. I am waiting on the results but am sure they will be fine. My hands are always cold too. Does anyone have Raynaud's? I was just wondering if this is another one of those fabulous package deals! Hope everyone has a wonderful New Year. Thanks, Dana :)

Yes, Raynaud's was one of my first symptoms.. even before the joint pain started. I wear wool socks in the winter and always have mittens on me. For cold hands, doing the windmill motion with your arms stimulates blood flow quickly to your hand and fingers :) It's a huge help for me at least.

Your symptoms sound very similar to what I feel. My hands and sometimes feet turn to ice, but havent quite turned purple. i always hold my neck to warm them up or put them under my thighs. for my feet, i cuddle up with my electric blanket as much as possible.

Hope everything works out and figure's crossed for you that there are no clots to deal with.

I also have Raynuad's in both feet. It started about, oh, 4 years before the poo hit the fan for me. I have read it can be an advance warning for RA, and I think other autoimmune issues (scleroderma maybe?).

My feet blanch white until they can't get any whiter at 67 degrees. When I warm them up they turn purple/blue, then red.
