I went to the Dr to investigate this new thing.. heaviness in my throat and upper chest. We looked at the labs I had done on the 3rd with my Rheumy. I don't see her again until Jan 7th. My sed rate and anti-ccp were normal. My IgG was elevated slightly. Does anyone with active RA have a similar experience?

You see, we have cartilage in the neck too and it can be affected by RA just like any other cartilage in your body. It's not a common symptom of RA but it was a big one for me. If you are being treated by a Rheumatologst, mention this to him/her. If not, get to see a Rheumatologist as soon as you can.
I will wait until I see what my labs say with regard to my thyroid function. My RA symptoms to me don't seem bad compared to everyone here. I have bilateral stiffness in my hands, trigger finger in both ring fingers.. worse on the right side... low back pain that comes and goes... right now I feel good... a couple months ago I could barely straighten up and major pain picking stuff up off the floor. Feet always hurt... after working all day driving ten min in my car.. hard to even get out...and now my throat thing... I am frustrated. The Dr. thought I was a basket case cause I was in tears... I have a lot of goals for next year and I cannot afford to be less than 100 percent for even one day.... Thanks again for being there!
