Rheumatoid Arthritis Support Group
Rheumatoid arthritis is a chronic, inflammatory, multisystem, autoimmune disorder. It is a disabling and painful condition which can lead to substantial loss of mobility due to pain and joint destruction. The disease is also systemic in that it often also affects many extra-articular tissues throughout the body including the skin, blood vessels, heart, lungs, and...

I hope you feel better quickly!
I'm betting its more injury. Your joints just can't handle a lot of stress anymore. Shouldn't be anything that time won't heal.
i am sure there are lawyers on this group and one might pipe up :). do you have a business agent at your store?
you also do not have to go to the doc on the day it occurred but you should not wait TOO long if you feel you want to get "checked out". You need the file number, the name of the worker's comp insurance carrier and their address for your getting checked out unless you want to pay out of pocket.
if you have health insurance and you tell the doc you were hurt on the job the health insurance is not going to pay. well they might and then subrogate but I doubt it.
all the while remembering that supervisors give you a lot of talk if they want to keep their "experience ratings" for injuries on the job "low". it can sometimes feel like pressure not to take care of yourself. you should take care of yourself.
you did not fall at home over the microwave. you did this at work with a piece of work equipment.
you do what you think is right.
hugs feel better

pugpen.... we just got a new bed today and it is a lot higher then our old one.... first thing I said to hubby was "hope I don't fall out of it"
Hope you are feeling better.
I am feeling much better then I was yesterday, still have another day to rest before returning to work. I also know that my work this next week is going to be easy work and I have a lot of help coming in to help me too. I probably will not do anything in the back room next week... out on the floor all week :)
Thanks
Cindy
After a good nights sleep I'm feeling better this morning, glad you are also. Good timing with your work schedule, have a great week!
I was sitting in my computer chair that has hard arms without padding and talking on the phone. I flung back my arm at the elbow and smacked the top of my hand on the arm of the chair. Within minutes my hand was swollen and red and looked like a catcher's mitt. I think there is always a low level of inflammation in our joints and an injury aggravates what is already there. My opinion only.
