I'm going to further speculate (yes, i do that quite often): i truly do think ingesting nightshades in a manner that they process though your gut is the cause of so much RA....guessing that allergic items probably the same. Here's why i speculate so. Tobacco is a nightshade and I smoke which does not bother me at all BUT, like the idiot that i can be, I tried some Copenhagen (snuff) back in July just to see.....within thirty minutes i could not move the middle two fingers on my right hand. So, guessing, if you don't eat your pets they most likely won't cause a flare.
