OK, had first appointment with allergist. (I want to get food allergy tested - since I've identified particular foods as the cause of my RA flares) She required me to have the environmental allergy tests today - food allergies in three weeks.
OK, I was feeling great this morning. Not an ache, nothing. So why not get several dozen sticks on my back and arms? What better thing to do with a day off of work :)
Long story short, I'm allergic to every pet I own. But the weird thing is that an hour after I left - first my shoulders and neck joints started acting up. Now wrists, knees, fingers and feet are going. Any of y'all have a flare due to allergy testing?

I'm going to further speculate (yes, i do that quite often): i truly do think ingesting nightshades in a manner that they process though your gut is the cause of so much RA....guessing that allergic items probably the same. Here's why i speculate so. Tobacco is a nightshade and I smoke which does not bother me at all BUT, like the idiot that i can be, I tried some Copenhagen (snuff) back in July just to see.....within thirty minutes i could not move the middle two fingers on my right hand. So, guessing, if you don't eat your pets they most likely won't cause a flare.
