ginger, frankincense, myrrh, lavender, tea tree, and peppermint essential oils are often used for arthritic inflammation. generally essential oil is blended with a carrier oil and used in massage. i like jojoba, sweet almond, and grapeseed oils for carrier oils.
be careful doing the research online because some sites talk about dangerous things, like creating capsules to ingest essential oils. never, ever ingest essential oils unless under the care of a professional. never, ever use essential oils on broken skin or mucus membranes unless you are working with a professional.
I like the oils. Although quality is everything.
Tried researching companies not long ago it was mind boggling.
Steph gave some good advice a good oil should be used with a carrier as they are strong. I use grape seed oil. Cold pressed olive will do also.
Wintergreen, Peppermint, Clove, eucalyptus, lavender are my go to oils.
There's a blend called Deep Relief that I use also. Comes in a roll on.
Oregano is very good for diffusing for airborn germs & I belive it's good for keeping spiders at bay.
Just read putting Euclypus oil in a spray bottle with water can help with dust mites. question was ask on one of the doctor shows what doctors do in their own homes to prevent getting sick. Oils came up for disinfecting.
Wonderful for easing congestion & sinus. My family does a lot better when they are sick if I diffuse the oils vs not diffusing. Not a doubt in my mind there.
Ebay & Amazon both offer some decent prices. I use young Living for topical & Aura Cacia brand for diffusing. YL is pricey but it last due to the strength. Less is needed & used with a carrier oil it can go a long way. Everyone seems to have their preference.
They are soothing especially with moist heat.
Hope this helps.
