Rheumatoid arthritis is a chronic, inflammatory, multisystem, autoimmune disorder. I printed a copy to take to my rheumy who dismisses my complaints of brain fog.
Could not figure out for the life of me what was wrong. Thought I was loosing my mind.
It's awful & does not get recognized near enough.
Be very interesting to see actual numbers of RA patients that do experience this.
Stress, exhaustion, rushing etc intensifies it.
My goodness I've put things in the strangest places.
I must say "I'm loosing it" on a daily basis.
Nothing like feeling "stupid" but that's how I feel some days.
Thank you for sharing.
Good to know it's getting some attention.

While dealing with the pain and immobility has been really hard, the brain fog has been the worst for me. I have this need to understand what is happening to my body in order to help deal with it. Now that I somewhat understand what causes the pain which is from inflammation which causes the immobility I can cope with it although it certainly isn't fun. But the brain fog - is it caused by the RA or the meds? If it is in fact the RA, I need to know why.
This little article has started me off with some understanding of that now.
