I just wanted to share my aahhh... he does get it moment.
We have a standing date with my In-Laws on Wednesdays. The Hubby cuts their grass, as they are no longer able, then we have dinner and visit for a few hours. We usually try to get over around 3 or 4.
Last Wednesday was a bad day for me, I was achy and exhausted. I was going to lay down for an hour then get ready to head over. I ended up sleeping for almost 4 hours before I got up.
When we got to the In-Laws, my FIL made a comment about us being late. I told him that I had laid down to nap as I wasn't feeling very well. He made some comment about me being lazy, in his usual joking manner.
The Hubby chimed in with, "WE have good days and bad days, today was not so good. I didn't want to wake her up, she needed the rest. Maybe next week WE will have a better day."
It's amazing how one little word can make you feel so much better. Aahhh...He gets it!!

Glad to hear that for you!
I was diagnosed about 15 months ago. He worked out of town, Monday through Friday from June through December last year so he would get frustrated when he came home for the weekend and I spent most of it on the couch.
I was laid off in January so we have been home together since then. I had surgery in February and major surgery in March so he just chalked everything up to the recovery. He just kept saying after your surgery you will be all better right? Nope!
Now that I am recovered from the surgery and all of those issues are gone, he can't blame anything but the RA.
He was working on the kitchen the other day (we are updating it - just bought the house a few months ago) and I asked if he needed my help. He asked, do you want to help or are you just being nice? I told him I was just being nice, I didn't feel that great. He told me to go and lay down for awhile, he could handle it.
I really do Love that Man!
