my experience was the same as Jen, including the hospitalizations for pneumonia where the mtx was stopped and it took me about 2-3 weeks to feel the RA go downhill. but i couldn't lose my infection without losing the mtx.
i noticed with mtx that I had more of the continued affect while not dosing short term, if sick with an infection, for at least a couple weeks compared to the orencia, which runs out of my body by 5 days.
