Ok, I posted on here awhile back about my shoulder/back pain and what I had thought my rheumy was sending me to a pain specialist. Turns out he was a spine doctor. Which is fine, but he did absolutely nothing for me. He wants me to get x-rays and go to therapy. Come back in a month. He also said a few things that urked me. He said that it can't be my RA because if it were my rheumy would not be sending me to him. Second, that all back pain takes a cycle of at least 6 weeks to get better and since I am only 4 weeks into my pain he won't do anything. But oh wait, we are doing x-rays to see if there is any damage from RA. UGH! I feel so frustrated and not listened to.

Maybe I just have a bad attitude about all of this nad I have too high of expectations.

So, this is my question to all of you, how much pain is ok to just say hey thats how my life will be, I can't expect anything better? I feel a lot better than before I started my Humira, but with working full time and trying to get everything done (which I often fail at) I am always at a 5 for pain. I still have days where my pain is a lot worse than 5, pushing a 10, but it never goes below a 5. Is that ok? I wonder if I should call my rheumy.

See, I am a teacher and I have summers off. I was feeling so much better. I was on Humira, Methotrexate, plaquenil, and celebrex. My rheumy took me off plaquenil and celebrex near the end of summer because I was doing so well. BUT, now with the school year started and the amount of pain that has come back, makes me think that maybe we shouldn't have stopped those meds. Sorry, for rambling, but I am so tired of the pain! Which I know so many of you are as well.
