it was my organization's staff day yesterday, so we spent six hours at a seminary doing staff day things: breakfast, mass, bbq lunch, games, raffles. my team won the trivia contest and $25 macy's gift cards. they gave out like seriously hundreds of dollars in gift cards, maybe even over a grand. who knew working for a non-profit would be so fun?

after that i drove west, stopping to pick up a few things at marshals, to meet my bestie the ADA to drive up to westchester for dinner with the third member of our little group. we waited too long at one place for a table so we left and found someplace else. we left around 10pm and got stuck in HORRENDOUS traffic at the throgs neck bridge - i didn't know they were doing construction. i finally got home around 12:15am after leaving my house at 8am. that's over 16 hours out and about. granted i didn't do anything like participate in the obstacle course, but omg.

i woke up this morning with just about every joint feeling swollen and painful, even my neck and jaw are bothering me and i've had a reprieve from those pains for some time now. my hip has been deteriorating further and i'm considering trying to use my cane, which i don't really know how to use but youtube has tons of crap. i was hoping to deep clean the apartment today with my hubby but that might have to wait now. i had a great time with my girlfriends, especially my girl from westchester because i forgot how stupid we are together. (in a good way. an excellent, belly laughing at ourselves kind of way.) i think it was worth it, but damn.
