Rheumatoid Arthritis Support Group
Rheumatoid arthritis is a chronic, inflammatory, multisystem, autoimmune disorder. It is a disabling and painful condition which can lead to substantial loss of mobility due to pain and joint destruction. The disease is also systemic in that it often also affects many extra-articular tissues throughout the body including the skin, blood vessels, heart, lungs, and...
And, I also like Mazensmummy's suggestion... doing something for someone else helps take the focus off of me (and my pain), and feels so good when you see the appreciation in their eyes...
Have a great day!
If no energy, then definately a movie!
Hope your feeling "in sorts" soon ;)

I baked cookies for my son yesterday afternoon. And I got busy today and washed the mattress pads and changed out all the bed linens in the house.
I think I know what is wrong with me. I've been dizzy this afternoon and my throat hurts a little. I think my immune-suppressed body has let another "bug" jump on me.
I've never done scrapbooking but my brother gave me one a couple of years ago. I ought to pull it out and work on it.
I don't know what I would do without my DS buddies.

Yes, I love my rice socks. When my grandchildren were younger, they had Granny make rice socks for them to take to bed with them. My youngest grandson (13) is a jock and he fast learned the benefits of them when he would get sore playing baseball.
Any other good crafty and easy ideas, anyone?

I get out of the house to stay busy when I can. Although, I felt like crap today I ran a couple of errands and visited my Mom. Came home and made a nice pot of chili for the hubby. It's like 9:30pm in Cali and I'm totally going to bed...hopefully I'll wake up feeling refreshed in the morning. My Humira shot is due tomorrow and that be why I felt so bad today.
Rice socks or bags are material that has been stuffed with rice and sewn up. Then you microwave for 1 1/2 minutes and have a nice warm or hot (watch it) bag that drapes around a joint for heat therapy. You can make them any size you want. They feel wonderful and can be used over and over again. If you do not sew, you can buy new white tube socks, stuff them with rice, tie them off at one end or use rubber band (hence the name rice "sock"). Some people also use buckwheat for stuffing them.
You will love them.
