Orthotics ...$$$

I've purchased prescription orthotics in the past and they're soo expensive.Now that I need a newer pair I'm considering getting some in-store non prescription gel sole thingies vs the real orthotics.Anyone have the same dilemma ?

The company is called Aetrex and the orthotics are called Lynco. Find a dealer with an IStep locator so you can get the customized ones after the machine scans your feet.
For what it's worth these are more comfortable than the 300 dollar orthotics I had years ago.

If the inside structure of the orthotics are still good and not causing you problems, you can have them recovered. Mine are Lifetime AO Walkers that I've had for a couple decades, I have 2 pairs, and just had one pair recovered and any defects repaired inside, and they look just like new. I was not having any trouble with the fit, but they were absolutely ragged outside. It was $80 to recover. The business name was OrthoRestore, they are back East.

I use orthoheel inserts I ordered off of amazon. It was trial and error as I tried a few other kinds first. I surely couldnt afford custom made ones. A year ago a podiatrist diagnosed me with posterior tibial tendon dysfunction. I was in a lot of pain and basically my arch had fallen. I am on my feet the majority of a work day and theses inserts have been a life saver!
