I would love to know if anyone has experienced a similar situation to me with Orencia. When I started the infusions every 2 weeks as boosters, I thought, "Oh my God this is it, I'm finally gonna be ok!!" Then they told me that those were just boosters and now and infusion must last 4weeks, since then Orencia continued to give me two great weeks in good weather only, then the next two weeks were a hit and miss for a good day. It has caused so much anxiety and waking up at 3AM with pains.
They tell me now that they cannot give me more Orencia then I already receive because its based on my body weight. So sad to be half way there and find out I'm probably gonna have to switch.
Till my next appt next week I'm taking 2mobics at a time to control pain, which I was told is too much, I am having so much anxiety, it seems so cruel to get a glimpse of what good life could be only to not be able to keep it. Any similar experiences.

it's been a couple years with the orencia
first a year or so of injections, now a year of infusions and they do not last for me.

I must mention that it did take a while before I started to feel the positive effects from Orencia. I am about 2 and a half months into my weekly shots and I am just now feeling like it is working. My doctor said would take a while to kick in if it works for me but I would feel great once it did. I would give it some time before throwing in the towel because this is one of the biologics with the least warnings.
