Sorry you are having the pain in your hands. I suffer with my hands and shoulders alot. Cannot pull up clothes or bed sheets. They hurt all day, I hope the new meds will give you some relief soon.
I start Actemra infusions at the end of the month. Humira did not work at all.
Hang in there, get out the electric blanket or heating pad. My thoughts are with you!!

The hands are a bugger.
Hands & feet are both huge targets with my RA.
I joke around stating I bend to pick up what these hands drop so often in one day it's my workout for the day.
It can get difficult when they become to painful to even touch.
Typing? Jeez not sure I'd last long at all.
Thinking of looking into gloves for RA. Something to consider.
So so sorry the latest med is no helping. Disappointing I know.
Really hope you get some relief ASAP.

I use a paraffin wax bath for my hands and it really helps quite a bit too and then soft finger less gloves after wards.

i have basic compression gloves which aren't very 'compressing' but help a bit. i was thinking about a paraffin bath a couple of months ago... then the other day everyone was asking me what to get me for the holidays. i think i have an answer lol.

i have gloves where i can insert either hot packs or cold packs little gel things small.

i also have have foream splint gloves as well as thumb restraint gloves and wrist wraps.;

i used to have an entire tupperware container of them at work.

i like cvs brand as much as the fancy ones the OT fitted at the hospital

I just want to say "ouch" and I'm sorry you're hurting. I've been feeling low today because I hurt, so please know many of us understand. Some of my co-workers have little gloves without fingers that heat up to keep their hands warm while they type. I've been thinking about getting a pair if I can find them and if they're not too heavy. Best wishes for you to feel better soon.

if you find ones that heat up, let us know which ones they are and where you can get those.

If your hands go out, you won't be able to anything for yourself or anyone else. and they can really hurt bad.

My hands drive me nuts! I type a little each day, but holding pencils and white board markers are my nemesis. Ugh!

i have and use/used (work home family) these at least weekly if not daily - i LOVE the inserts. i recently had hand and wrist surgery and the inserts are LIGHT and SMALL so they do not hurt as in press down on tendons or nerves with the weight of the pack or make it impossible for you to do something with ice bulk. . i can't use howard huge ice or heat packs. these are feather light (to me) and you can still use your hand. when the tears are coming on i use these. they always save me. take a look.
