have you discussed trying any of the other DMARDs? my rheumy said not to bother (but i'm questioning that right now). if/when you do start humira, be sure to sign up for the support program on their website. i did so for enbrel and not only are they covering 6 months of my copays, they sent me a sharps container (with prepaid materials to send it back when it's full) and a travel kit and alcohol wipes and everything.
I had it since 2000, but did not get dx til 2013. That I was relieved to get a name for what ailed me, and more important, TREATMENT for it, is putting it mildly.
Best of luck in your treatment!
I'm sorry you have this horrid disease but I do understand you relief at knowing. Now you can start learning how to deal with it.
Steph, I will have to look into their website and see if they have a support program. That sounds like a really good thing to help w/payment and basic supplies!
best wishes with you treatments.
