Rheumatoid Arthritis Support Group
Rheumatoid arthritis is a chronic, inflammatory, multisystem, autoimmune disorder. It is a disabling and painful condition which can lead to substantial loss of mobility due to pain and joint destruction. The disease is also systemic in that it often also affects many extra-articular tissues throughout the body including the skin, blood vessels, heart, lungs, and...
I think the inflammation is deeper in the tissues in between the metatarsals or something so maybe not so noticable on the outside. When I was first diagnosed I couldn't put my feet on the floor in the mornings without excruciating pain. I had to wear 1 1/2 inch thick slippers to even be able to contemplate walking.
I hope you can get this under control soon. It is really hard some days when you are in so much pain and you still have a life to live and things to get done.
Have you tried placing your feet on ice for a bit through the day? Sometimes that gives me a bit of relief.
Big hugs to you!
hope your feet feel better soon
No, you don't have to have swelling to have active RA. Take care, Charlie
I'm sorry for you guys that I'm not alone but it sure feels better knowing I'm not alone.:-)
