that certainly is good news....but I see it's a COX inhibitor - same family as Celebrex, which I cannot take due to sulfa allergy. However, will have to keep my eye on this drug, and see if it will pan out that I would NOT be able to take it...my rheumy is co-director of rheumatology at Brigham's and Women in Boston, MA - very well renouned clinic. I'll have to ask him his opinion - he does mega research in RA (I'm in one of his studies now)....I'm sure he'll be well apprised of this med

This drug actually showed up a couple of years ago, touted as a promising new NSAID, but was rejected by the FDA last year.

This article is actually pretty interesting, in that it contains comments from some of the FDA panel members. NicOx, the manufacturer, plans to appeal the FDA ruling.
