Now you need to hang tough until July. I'm really happy that you were able to start a dose of steroids. Your post really sounded like you needed it.
I hope the time goes fast for you until July!
Be well,

Don't suppose your reg dr could make your appt with the rheumy sooner than July? Sometimes it the reg dr makes the appt, they can get it sooner than if you make the appt?
It's never easy starting with new doctors. You never know what your getting.
I'd just focus on preparing for that appointment & if needed be assertive from the get go. If a current meds not cutting it then what would be the problem trying another.
I had some great advice from a good friend once. He said it's not what you say but how you say it. Of course I'm constantly reminding myself of that but he made an excellent point. So perhaps thinking of a way to present your concerns at that first appointment.
Wishing you the best of luck at your appointment.
Sammy
I forgot to mention to you that it may be a good idea to call the new Rheumy's office and ask if you could please be added to their cancellation list.
Then, if someone cancels before July, you could take their appointment time-frame and possibly could be seen earlier by your new Rheumy!
This has worked for me in the past.
Good Luck,
TheWino
