I did have that test, twice. The first time my numbers were high and I was feeling pretty good. The second time I had it done a year later, I was feeling really lousy, and the Vectra DA test score was low. Thankfully, my rheumatologist doesn't just pay attention to test results

can you ask your rheumie when you go in why he/she uses this test? and what he/she has found in the use of the test across her patient practice?

did your insurance cover it or are you going to have a balance bill?

i wonder if the tnf and il 6 markers help when prescribing which biologic.

My rheum said that it shows "disease activity". As I said earlier, the first time I had it done I was feeling pretty good - swelling and pain levels down. Vectors number was high. 2nd time, I was hurting so much, should have had my rituxan infusion at least 2 weeks earlier, and I went on prednisone for the first time ever - vector a test score was low. Unless my rheum insists, I do not think I would ever ask my insurance company to cover that cost - yes, they did pay for it.
