stay strong kimberley. i have the same issues about my weight. trying my best not to gain, but its not in my hands. 25 lbs more than my pre pregnancy weight. dont know when will i lose all these lbs. i have started myfitnesspal app and i am controlling what i am eating and trying to stay fit. bcoz i cant exercise too with these pains. for me, i feel happy if i am able to walk without any pains. my knees are a big problem. now my ankles started hurting too. so reducing those extra pounds are very imp for me but i dont know what to do. you are not alone.
feel better. i know its rough time now, but hope for the best. everything will be ok again. take care. you need some rest.
prednisone another 10 lbs

i too eat very less. but one thing i can admit is prednisone made me more hungry and i craved for food a lot. by the time i realised that it was too late. i already gained 10 lbs on it. so i am very cautious now about my wiehgt and the meds i take and what i eat.

We all understand what this disease, and the meds, can do to our bodies, exercise routines, eating habits, etc. Most of us are in the same place. Hang in there!
As for the hubby traveling; mine travels every week. Leaves on Monday's and comes home on Friday's. He's always with someone younger, prettier, skinnier, smarter, etc., than I am. But in the end...if he doesn't love me enough to stay faithful to me then I don't need him. That's how I manage. I have too many other things to focus on. What's that saying "que sera, sera"
Live for you, love you, take care of you. Having confidence in yourself and showing your strength, even at our weakest, is very very attractive. Its the inside that counts.
It is always difficult when the husbands are out of town. Maybe once things settle down you can join him on one of the business trips. I agree with mttazzie 's last sentence (That made me smile). But I would be looking for another MD as well. I like what RCross say too que sera sera (always loved that song and saying and it has a deep meaning).
Focus on yourself and get yourself together. Husband must remember in sickness and in health.. that's what it is all about. Feel better soon.
1) WE CAN'T SEE THAT FOR OURSELVES;
2) WOULD DO SOMETHING ABOUT IF WE COULD;
3) have weight loss as a priority with all the other sh&t going down in our lives.
You are an amazing, loving woman dealing with an incredible amount of pain, an incurable illness and other health issues. You are a freaking rockstar!!!
Belive that and tell your doc to shove it and find a new one. I am beyond done with this crappy attitude from those who don't live in our bodies.
You are beautiful, loved and a gift from the Creator. No one can take that away from you.
