My new friend met me in New Orleans.....

at 30000 ft last evening while flying back from Mexico. The knee joint pain, that is. All was well in Mexico - warm sun, warm water, lots of walking and sight-seeing. Joint pain was not around much at all - occassionally at the end of the day. Coming back to Minnesota last night was a different story. Flying over New Orleans, we ran into storms, and the change in weather just killed my knees - they are so sore today with the snow and cold. It's good to be home, but my friend could have stayed on vacation alot longer.

Hope everyone had a good week - lots to catch up on since Feb 28th.


PS - I miss the "all-you-can-eat" buffets full of fresh fruits and vegetables! I can't wait till spring and summer when they are available here!

The pressure of the air cabin in the plane plays havoc with those of us with RA. I always wear backless shoes because if I take them off during the flight my feet are too swollen to put them back on. Also my rhuemy suggests support hose to help with my ankles and legs. Another tip I have learned thru the years is to ask for a week long medrol dose pack and begin it the day before I travel. This helps cut down on those pesky symptoms that want to surface when we least want to have them appear. Glad you had a great trip. Welcome back to the M idwest and the winter which is not quite redy to disappear!

Sucks when we have to get back into bad weather and feel the old crappy pain again! I always do better in the summer here in New England. But I sure could live in a place like Nevada or Arizona year round for the warmth!!! The humidity just saps the strength right out of me!!! Ugh!!

Was your vaca a cruise? or were you at an all inclusive resort? Just wondering where you went, and if you'd recommend it?
