Saw my doc yesterday, he is having me go up to 20 MG of Prednisone for 2 weeks and the decrease by 2.5 mg a week until down to my normal dose. (5 mg) By that time he feels the rituxan will have kicked in. He said it could take 8 to 12 weeks to kick in. I was not happy to hear that. I am remaining on Arava and Methotrexate. I told him about my severe insomnia and once again I started crying ( I always do when I see him) and he prescribed Generic Ambien 10 mg. Well last night I took my first dose and it did absolutely NOTHING for me!!! Today I am 5 weeks out from finishing the Rituxan infusion. I am hoping for sleep and relief of pain soon!!!!
