try rate MD (online) IF no one answers you off list. it's free. put in the specialty and just read comments. not good enough to actually make a pick but not a bad first perusal. Again, I am not recommending this as a great source, just a free consumer based beginner one to get a feel for who is in your area.

I'd also recommend a pain mgmt program at a hospital or university affiliate. I've heard things are getting a bit better but some pharmacies may have issues filling them. A hospital may have good PM programs & they'll have in-house pharmacies. Just another place to look. You need less stress not more. The new laws that go into effect next mo will just make things harder.

I've heard good things about Shands but no idea where they're located. (2 major drugstore chains and one major distributor had their FL distribution centers closed & heavy fines imposed which makes pharmacists leery)

Hi. We are snowbirds and spend about 7 months in Fort Myers Beach.
I have seen Dr Eric Hochman in Naples. He was ok. Haven't seen him in a few years tho. I would recommend making an appointment with the Dr of your choice as soon as u get there. I think I had to wait a month to see him and I was in pretty bad shape. If u know when your going to be there make the appt before u leave. Good luck with whomever u choose!
