I have been on Humira for a couple of months now and it is finally mosquito season.
I am a mosquito buffet! They LOVE biting me! They always have... I don't know why. BUT... last week I was outside with some neighbors for a few hours and noticed the mosquitoes were out. A couple of days later, my husband was like, "What happened to your leg!?! You're bruised!"
I tried to turn around and get a glimpse of the back of my calf and noticed two large (quarter sized?) red bumps that looked like bruises. They itched as soon as I touched them, just like mosquito bites. I am trying not to scratch them but they itch like crazy.
My husband looked at them again today. He said you can see a small spot in the center of one like a mosquito bite, but couldn't see a bite mark in the other. I also got bit my a mosquito on my other leg the other day and it is now starting to turn into a dark red bruise. I KNOW that one was a mosquito because I killed it while it was on me.
I have always swollen after mosquito bites, but usually only for a day and they NEVER turned red/brown like a bruise!!!
Could this be from the Humira? I know it can reduce your immune system but these have been on my leg for a week now and don't look like they're going away. Plus that other bite is starting to get darker.
Anyone experience this???

I wonder if the bruising is caused by the Humira. I know I react to mosquito bites in general, but I never bruise from them. I go back to the Rheumy in a couple of weeks. If they're still there, I'll have him examine them.
