I am glad your husband is home from the hospital. You need to get some rest before you can take up the slack. Take an e,tranquility day or two to get rested. It is h hard enough to do everything g we need to in day let alone add I g more to the list. Don't put yourself in the hospital try to take on too much.

I hear you it can be a lot for us sometimes... I know if my hubby was down and couldn't help me I would be in big trouble. I would do what I could and the rest would just have to wait. Do only what you can do and maybe ask a family member, friend or neighbor to help with what you can't do. Just remember you need the rest too and to pace yourself. Come back and vent as you need to. Praying all goes well with you both.

I hope there are a lot of things you can let go and not worry about while your husband recovers.
I'd be in a world of hurt if I had to take up the slack of my husband. He's the powerhouse for sure. Hope he recovers fast!

who is the one person that can give you a half day respite? his sister? a neighbor? a church person? his best bud? who niece? anyone?

Maybe if you motrin'd up and hit the guest room bed and gave the 1/2 day caretaker the cowbell you could ice or heat your joints.

I am glad he had you for his tender loving care. it feels good to to forget about our chronic illness now and then.

Debbie, it is hard to do it all. I hope, like Depot, suggested, you can find someone to help. There are times when you just have to let some things go. My Grandma would always say, " Oh, stay longer, your house work will wait for you." She was right; it always waited. I know it's difficult watching things pile up. I'm praying someone will come and help you and that your husband will have a speedy recover with very low pain. Oh, life, it just gets so big sometimes!

Thank you all for great advice and confirming what I knew that I need to do which is back off and just do what I can. Hubby does what he can and I know that I pushed myself too much when was hospitalized. Now, I am paying for not being good to me.

I agree, be careful. There may be somethings that have to take a backseat. I hope you do have some help.
That's all you need is to put yourself out of commission.
My hub hurt his back. You should see the 2 of us getting out of the recliners, my goodness you'd think we were 100 plus years.
It's a worry but I'm on him to get it dealt with. Terrible at following through.
At the end of the day it's not worth it.
So resist temptation even if your feeling good.
Im awful at following my own advice & end up paying every time.
So I'm trying to make better choices. Take it from me whatever can wait let it wait. If you need help & have that option ask.
Your worth it.
