So. I got a call back from my Rheumy. After last weeks injection site reaction and the fact i felt like i was getting sick. She determined that i had/have serum sickness caused by the humira. So i am to stop taking the humira, i have one in the fridge...need to get rid of that one, and she is going to work on insurance approval of enbrel, which she doesnt think will work but my insurance requires it to try and her eventual goal is either remicade or simponi. Which ever the insurance will go for.
At least we have an answer for why certain things happened. Now if only i could find some combination before i start school in August....I really dont want infusions dring school but if i have to iwill just make it work with my schedule haha.

Now, Actemra, which, thankfully, I can give myself the injections at home. Before, it was by infusion only, which would mean a 4 hour round trip. I was giving shots every other week, but improvements still were not where the Dr wanted them. The Rheum. decided I should have a Vectra test. My score was 41, so he upped the Actemra to once a week. Thankfully, the shot is almost painless.

But urgh. I was hoping the humira would be it for a while lol. From my understanding she wants me on Remicade more than enbrel or simponi but it comes down to insurance.
also..i did not know serum sickness was a thing. but it would explain the general ill feeling and the rash i've been having plus the swollen neck glands and mild fever...who knew. Its also uncommon lol
