Our body temperature fluctuates during the day, being at the highest in the afternoon. Anything over 100 is considered elevated. I always run hot in the 99 - 100 range. All kind of things can make us "hot" - outside temps, smoking, lying, eating hot peppers, hot flashes.
If your temp is 101.9 then you have a fever and should call your doctor.
