LOVE my Enbrel shot

I know this sounds silly but after taking Humira for 18 months I had to switch to Enbrel. Not only do I find it easier to inject because you don't have to pinch the skin, but because of the way the pen works I am now more confident all the medicine is injected (a second click sound) and it doesn't hurt as much (thinner product?) even though it takes longer for the medication to be administered.
I left the Humira out 30 minutes just like the Enbrel but the Enbrel doesn't hurt as bad when I inject it.

I know this is a silly little thing but with RA I will take any silly thing at all.

That and a snoopy band aid makes me smile!

I agree the Enbrel pen is easier than the Humira pen. And the big thing like you say is the "click" at the end of the injection so you know when it is done. With the Humira pen I had to have my wife watch the little window and tell me when it was done.

I agree. It is an easy device to use. I let it come to room temperature and barely feel a thing. I believe that I have been on Enbrel for 4 months and I am beginning to realize its benefits. I have weaned myself to 5 mg of prednisone and I am doing pretty well. Will try to reduce even more very soon.

So nice to hear.
Got lucky with Enbrel. Worked in many ways almost from the start.
Stopped working & I miss that relief.
Side effects were present but relief was worth it.
Here's to continued success.

My doctor and I were visiting about restarting Enbrel. He told me this and I had not known it. You are supposed to keep it refrigerated...but if you are gone a week on vacation, it can come out and stay out...however, you can't put it back in the refrigerator after that. So, if you need to go somewhere, grab a pen and go! LOL

He said when it's out, still keep it indoors until you use it.
