I found this article about Keurig coffee makers, since we all try to avoid all of the added chemicals in our food; I thought this was a good article.

That is a very interesting article to say the least and it does make you wonder. I quit using my drip coffee maker and perked coffee went out years ago, so that leaves me with good old fashioned instant coffee which I switched over to last year. The doc says no coffee after 3 and only 2 cups per day. Well I drink 3 cups in the morning and that is it, that is all it takes to start my day and to start a little cleaner not having to depend on drip coffee makers or all the others out there, I just personally think it's healthier for you. I hope others read that article!

That is an interesting article. I had to give up my coffee because every time I drank it I got stomach bloating and diarrhea. We have the Kerig coffee maker at my job. It seemed to be worse when I drank the coffee at work. I did notice when I stopped and started drinking green tea with honey in the morning some of my achy joints went away. Everyone should try staying away from coffee for a couple of weeks and see if it helps your RA.

This is, not to mince words, disgusting. You can't clean the thing? Yuck. I've always thought these single-cup coffee makers were an environmental disaster, but the filth issue is even worse.

i clean my keurig regularly. i have a small one cup, not the one with the big water reservoir. i also run vinegar and water through it every couple of weeks. we only use filtered water in it. i only drink one cup of coffee a day, so a drip coffee maker is completely worthless to me. i find i have to limit what i worry about in my life because stress is very hard on me. i can't obsess over everything.

they have paper topped k cups on amazon if you search or use the best refillable vessel you can find

run vinegar or lemon or something natural through it weekly if it is driving you to drink, that should do it.

but yep the holding tank is the source of the joy (quick!) and the oh crap part.

i wish i had someone in residence that would make me a french press every day. can we start a subject line on that? :)
