Keepin' it real with Symptoms

Hello All,

I've found lately that when my symptoms get really bad I tend to not listen to my body well, because if I do I'm extremely fatigued and in pain. Like I kinda just begin to ignore how I'm feeling and its mentally exhausting. Its usually when I'm in school and around people I'm not super close with. Not too many people in school understand how RA works and how bad it can make you feel and it gets very frustrating. Does this happen to anyone else?

Used to do that all the time. I just called it 'sucking up and getting on with my day'. Never missed a day of work due to RA. Even during my super flare when I had to have help dressing.

Means that you're now a tough cookie :)

Yeah, I know about ignoring symptoms. I am not fifteen years old, and cannot imagine what a tough time you must be having. There just is not an nice quiet place to lay down every time you need to. Sometimes you just have to wait a while, then lay down. I hope it gets easier for you and you feel better soon.

Yep. Only sooner or later it will catch up.
Makes it so much harder to be surrounded by people who just go on with life as usual. Then again strength comes from with in & you are tougher then any one around you. I'd bet that.
We need to be at times. Just be careful it does not bite you in the bum.
