I'll have a audio book going in the background so I can close my eyes and fully relax. Sometimes I use candles, but oftentimes I just turn out the lights.
Don't chintz out on what you pour in the bath either. The bag is like $6.00 and it lasts once or twice, it is still an inexpensive price to pay for some pain free time.
Does anyone else every daydream about some time in a sensory deprivation chamber?
Keep good notes relative to the meds and reactions including what you did. As you search of the "magic mix" of meds you will be able to tell what worked and for how long and what didn't work and on which meds. It gets complicated sometimes not knowing if it was exercise or food or meds or combination -

BD2, I hear you on the meds. Two weeks ago I tried to increase my MTX and it really knocked me for several days but that was two weeks after the first increase. I may try the increase next week and see how it goes. Apparently, I need it since I feel so bad this weekend.
I managed to get the grocery shopping done with the help of my husband, cane and the motor scooter at the store. So frustrating. My husband seems really frustrated as well. Maybe, it's concern. We really don't talk about the RA so much.~ Lori
I'm going to hold at 8 till spring - go thru all the tests again and go from there

MTX kicked my butt all week. Getting better now but still dragging.
It does not help if a spouse is not supportive. We also do not talk about RA much in our home. I am sure it incredibly frustrating for our spouses too.

yeah the capriciousness messes with one's head. normalcy versus coping. especially when work looms on the horizon. i am sorry you see-saw'd.

yes Fiery the sensory deprivation chamber sounds devine as I heal best when resorting to almost a meditative state when I am whimpering away from a flare. reminds me of childbirth. get in the trance to get through the pain.
