I use ambien on sleepless nights. I sure do feel for you, the only thing that worked to sleep on those kind of nights, is a sleeping aid. Call your rhuemy tomorrow, I'm sure he will prescribe one.

So you know your not alone, my toes are burning. I'm running cool water on them as I'm typing this.

Teddy Bears - they work better then pillows to shape and conform around your body. My hubby used to laugh at the huge entourage in our bed as certain ones felt good cradling certain parts.

And poor Sgt. Joe. This really stiff teddy bear that wasn't a good snuggler - he used to have to be propped up at the foot of the bed under the sheets to keep the weight of a sheet from my toes as yes even a cotton sheet sometimes hurt. But good ol' Sgt. Joe fixed that issue. ;-)

sorry hon, I have been having those "can't sleep" nights and it sucks! We all deal with the same issues and just knowing there are other people out there is truly helpful. Ice has never helped me I use heat and it seems to do the trick. Hope this finds you sleeping.Trish

Thank you all. No "rheumy" yet. Dr appt is Thursday. Can't take ambien and just moved to the couch because my husband sounds like a combination of an angry bear and a grumpy fat man eating when he sleeps. I dont know which is worse the burning or the snoring, talking, grumbling, and grinding noise.

sorry you're in such discomfort. I'm with Dreamchas... Ambien is my best friend when I'm flaring.

Not sleeping well makes for a very long day. Sorry you are having the trouble.

Hi Krimzym, sometimes I am up at those hours of the night... sometimes. I end up on the computer and that kind of lulls me to sleep again. Usually I am so tired I fall off to sleep, light on, TV on, one cat snoring at my head and the other at my feet. Warm is best for RA. I use ice on my knee but that is another story. Hope tonight is a better night for you. If you are in pain from the RA Lyrica might help. I was on that a short period of time. It is used for RA and for those with Fibro. It helps with pain at the nerve endings and it also will make you sleepy. Something like knocking out two birds with one stone. Feel better real soon.
