Hey good luck to you & your wife! In regards to Plaquenil, it's like this has been pretty much the standard response (at least on this forum) on it's efficacy. I wonder if it just takes a long while to kick in?
I happened to be reading through the MTX info today - I recently restarted MTX and humira after a time off them, and am having something I was thinking may be a side effect.
But, anyways, the info reviews the "reproductive" risks and includes a warning that pregnant or nursing women should not even handle the medication since it may be absorbed through the skin. Though prob not much of a concern at RA doses -- something to keep in mind if /when pregnancy is successful and you are able to resume taking MTX.
That's how it works for me. It's not a great fix.
