I'm having awful insomnia.Today my primary Dr suggested trazadone.
I've been taking lunesta and benadryl and still some(often)nights I'm wide awake.Any input?Thx

Have taken low dose Trazadone in the past for some situational insomnia and it seemed to work really well but I needed a full 8 hours to sleep. On a couple of occasions I tried to cut it short to 6+ and could function but felt hung over. If I got a full 8+, it worked very well. Good luck!

I take a half a xanax at night, and if things get bad throw in a benadryl.
I had always had trouble disengaging from my over chatty brain at night, so I do understand the frustration. Sleep deprivation can cause wicked side effects, even more so than some drugs! I put a disc player next to my bed that plays nature sounds, that seems to help also. Good luck, and go sleeping........Trish

I have taken trazadon snd clonzepam at nite for several years.its,awesome. Sometimes I take 6 oz when I've really pushed myself that day.
