Has anyone still had their IV Infusion even if they aren't sure if they are sick?

I have really bad allergies and this week has been bad. My hubby suggested that it might not be allergies but a virus/cold instead.

I didn't want to miss my IV Infusion of Orencia so I had it anyways. I'm hoping it IS just allergies and nothing more.

But what if I am sick??? Will my infusion make it worse???

They don't give the infusion if you are sick... But I think it's allergies and I can't afford to miss my infusion because of stupid pollen! :)

My Rheumy's policy and you have to sign it prior to every infusion is if you have signs of a upper respiratory infection, infection, antibiotics and a few other items then you can not have the infusion. You have to wait until your symptoms are gone for 1 week, and if you are on antibiotics you have to be off them for 2 weeks.

As irritating as it is, i get it. If i get a cold i know its going to lead to a 10 day course of antibiotics(I get bronchitis each time) so that is at least 3.5 weeks, and then its usually a week to get scheduled so that puts me a month off. But i would rather make sure i am healthy then to risk it and not be able to fight off the bug.
