Actually my first diagnosis on the path to a diagnosis of RA.
Have spinal problems also so can be a bit confusing.
Splints helped me out. If this continues to cause that degree of pain perhaps calling your doctor. Pin & needle type pain a long with any burning usually indicates nerve involvement, Neuropathy.
That can be excruciating & difficult to treat.
I could not use my hand at all. Just cried with pain.
Tried heat & ice, bracing helped me the most. Steroids also helped to control the pain.
Really hope you get relief.
