coaltrain, I don't see a big issue personally with the privacy policy. I will say that I have gotten more out of the website than I have from this or any other site in the few short days that I have been on it. I do understand your concerns though.

I'm convinced the only way to maintain privacy is to unplug everything, toss the cell phone in the garbage, kill the internet service provider, bolt the doors, never leave home........and even then there's no guarantee.

What gets me on these "privacy disclosures" is that they're written so that they sound harmless, when in fact they never mention that the harmless company they'll disclose info to actually sells your info to other companies, that sell to yet other companies........

i checked the site referred to by the link, and I think it stinks. worse than this, far worse than DS before the storm. imho.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I know on the other site, I am happier and no one seems to have issues with it.

It seems to be great for checking in and saying hi. Doesn't seem to deal with real issues or be an info source. Maybe I haven't taken the time to fully navigate it. Just doesn't appeal to me. Doubt I'll spend much time there [if any at all]. But I do think it's a good place for those who just want to check in and say hi to others.

I think, for me it is a place to feel supported as well as ask others what their experiences are.

Well I tried it and I liked it. Lol I have alot of down time right now due to all this crap I am going through. I had a respiratory tract infection about 2 wks ago then 4 days later not feeling better actually worse my throat was very sore and hard to swallow so back to the clinic I went to be diagnosed with strep throat, mono and thrush in my throat. But it's nice here too. The other one reminds me of facebook for people with RA. As far as the policies could someone explain to me what all that stuff really means. So they can take what information and sell it to whomever? I know it's to late now bc they have the down and dirty on me but I am somewhat clueless when it comes to things like that.
